Beach Party!
September 1st…already…ugh!!! I can't believe how time has
escaped me. We started on backyard renovations the third week of July and have
SOOOOO much to do. All of this has to be done by October 8th due to
having our son and soon to be DIL wedding in our backyard. Everyone is tired,
oh so tired. Needless to say we bit off a bit more than we can chew but, I have
faith that it will work out. My husband, son and father are putting in very
long days and I just don't know how they are doing it. As you know, my husband,
Kevin, joined me in my weight loss journey one week after I did which was the
first week of May, he has officially lost 41 lbs., INCREDIBLE! I only wish I
could say the same. Through all our craziness going on here, still working full
time jobs and planning a wedding it's been a wild ride. Through all of it I
have managed to meet my first goal, getting out of the 200s, 196.8, Yay for
firsts! That is 12 lbs lost and new thoughts now on my new goal, getting under
195.
My workouts are not what they were but that does
not mean they won't be that again after everything gets back to some normalcy.
I manage to get in my stretching, squats, a couple of arm lifts and 60 second
planks on most days. Had to give up lunges for a bit due to a injury to my left
ankle, they will be really difficult to get back into due to not being my
favorite thing to do anyway!
Meanwhile our yard looks more like the beach
minus the water. If I am barefoot and close my eyes it's brings me right there.
Hopefully the sand will have pavers covering it soon though because my swiffer is getting a mighty workout and making me think twice of
ever living at the beach!
As for food…😬. I mean, I'm doing better than I was two
weeks ago (and oops, completely forgot to do my blog last week…ugh) but, I have
only indulged a tiny bit, mainly in the name of bread but, organic breads. I
feel the best when I stick to my normal organic diet and not over eating so I'd
say that the last two weeks have had an upside. Until next week…
Have we moved
today?~Driven.
Peace,
Panda
